Walk With Web partnered with the Sierra Leone Public Archives (SLPA) in Freetown to design and launch the institution’s first official website, bringing the nation’s archival heritage into the digital age. The platform was developed to ensure that SLPA staff can directly manage descriptive metadata, update content, and provide ongoing access to historical records for researchers, students, and the general public.
Launched on August 25, 2025, the website opens global access to the SLPA’s collections, which include government documents, maps, photographs, and rare manuscripts spanning centuries of Sierra Leone’s history. By making these resources more discoverable online, the project strengthens preservation efforts while supporting education, research, and public engagement with one of West Africa’s most significant archival collections.
