UX Research Intern

Walk With Web Inc. (WWW) is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a UX Research Intern. This internship provides an exciting opportunity for students to develop practical user experience skills while contributing to impactful projects in a professional and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and conducting user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing, focus groups).
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify user needs, behaviours, and pain points.
  • Support the creation of research reports, personas, journey maps, and insights presentations.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers to translate research findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Help test prototypes and evaluate user experience across digital platforms (web, mobile, databases, etc.).
  • Participate in literature reviews and background research (especially useful for research-driven projects).
  • Document research processes and maintain organized datasets and notes.
  • Transcribe interviews, focus groups, and usability sessions into clear, structured text.
  • Organize and clean transcripts (speaker labels, timestamps, clarity) for analysis.
  • Highlight key quotes and prepare transcripts for coding and thematic analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Studies, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of user research methods (interviews, usability testing, surveys).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Miro, Notion, Google Forms, NVivo, Atlas.ti or similar is an asset.
  • Interest in user-centered design and digital product development.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
